About Nikhil
Hi, I’m Nikhil Reddy, a sophomore at Northeastern University with a deep passion for healthcare innovation. My journey into the healthcare sector began in high school when I led a state-wide fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It was during this experience that I first encountered the complexities and challenges of our healthcare system. From predatory insurers to slow policymaking, there were just so many problems, and I wanted to learn more.
Right now, I lead the healthcare team at NUImpact, Northeastern University’s social impact investment fund, where we invest in seed rounds for healthcare startups. I also wrapped up a middle market healthcare investing role at Briarcliff Capital Partners, which really solidified what I love most about healthcare: its inherent impact. The stakes are incredibly high—innovations in this space can immediately change lives, while a single mistake can have devastating consequences. This duality is what it makes healthcare special to me; it’s both daunting yet inspiring.
Driven by this understanding, I started The Healthcare Theory—a podcast where I interview industry leaders and innovators who are actively working to solve the system’s most pressing problems. My goal is to demystify the challenges in healthcare and show that while the system is complex, meaningful change is not only possible but already happening, one innovation at a time.
